The kiddos knew that Daddy went to see some diggers. And they also knew that if they were good Daddy would bring them a present! This morning we had a little chat about the state of disarray in our home. When they were informed that Daddy would be REALLY happy with them if all of their toys were put away, they got right to work! I'm not really sure why they brought all the bins out in the kitchen and lined them up but they sure were proud of themselves!
If it's at all possible we LOVE to greet Douglas at the airport. There are big windows and you can get a great view of the people coming in. The kids keep watching and watching...
...And THERE he is!!! They go RUNNING down to the end to meet him.

They are of course laughing and yelling, "Daddy! It's DADDY!!!". And then he gets a GIANT group hug. You should see the other people waiting around for other passengers. They can't help but smile and that fantastic greeting!
No trip to the airport is complete without a stop at the little arcade near the baggage claim. They have to play on "the toys!" before we can leave.
There's a fun airplane and a cool train. They've always been perfectly happy on these toys but tonight they asked Douglas, "Do you have any monies, daddy?". I'm sure we'll only hear that a few million times over the next 25 years!

They couldn't be happier to have Daddy back home at our brown house. I can't really blame them. He's a pretty great guy to have around!
