Frolicking in the Flowers

In our neighborhood we have these fun circles. They're called "round-a-bouts" or something like that but they are used to slow down the traffic. My kiddos love them. They are like tiny little private parks. The one nearest to us has a sculpture that is supposed to be some kind of logging structure. The kids call it a castle. Or a tower. There are also some fun old rocks to climb on. It's like adventure island.

Right now these isles of fun are absolutely amazing. They have the most glorious display of summer splendor. Yesterday we set out to explore the Black-Eyed Susan's and attempted to take a few pictures. The pictures may not be our best ever but we sure did have fun and I think you'll catch a glimpse of that.

Hello?!?! Is anyone in there?!?!

Jumping up to surprise Mommy.

She adorable. She knows it. And the really beautiful part? She's not conceited at all. She just knows she's pretty. Because Mommy told her she is.

So how do you get Sam to stop making those crazy faces?

Well, if you were his sister, you would just move his lips.Okay maybe that's a very silly thing to do. But it sure is funny.
Mom, it might be a bit bright over here.

So let's go on an adventure. Through the fuzzy things. They love the fuzzy things. That's their scientific name, you know. Fuzzy things. And they do feel so fun and fuzzy.
I think they were trying to love on each other here. Leona is just about to give Gabe a big hug and a kiss. Sam is just looking goofy, as usual.

But not quite as goofy as he looks here.
But it's okay if he's a little goofy. Leona still loves him. She loves Gabe too. Although he looks like he's being strangled a bit.

And we might have gotten one, good, teeny, tiny, little something good out of this adventure. One may be all you really need...but I'm sure glad I've got three.
