No Fooling!

No Joking Around...This girl is CUTE, CUTE, CUTE!!! Lately Miss Sis has just been the sweetest thing. She loves her daddy something fierce. Her voice is so girly and sweet. Leona is almost always smiling and happy, unless she is really, really tired or being bothered by her annoying brothers. She loves to sit and read her books.

Her favorite book forever has been "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie". We have to read it before naptime and before bedtime. Everyday. SINCE CHRISTMAS. Yesterday, Douglas told her that she needed to pick a new story because he was tired of reading "Mouse Cookie". She must love her daddy a whole lot...because she FINALLY chose a different story for naptime!!!

She picked one of her new Dora stories from Isabelle. Belle brought over a whole bunch of new books. She has had a fabulous time piling up these new books and carrying them around. She's been saying, "New Ones! Tank Ew, Belle!". She's so sweet when she says it.

Today the kids had an exciting day. Last week our neighbor girl, Lisa, spent Spring Break at Disney World. Today the kiddos each got a post card from Lisa. They were SO excited to get their "Mail! Letters!". They've shown them to everyone today and love toting their letters around. Here is Sis and her letter.
I did a bunch of laundry today. Some time during the day I ended up putting a laundry basket on the floor. It disappeared pretty quickly and I didn't get it back until tonight. The kids had SO much fun playing with the basket. One of their favorite activities was pretending that the basket was a bathtub. They even pretended to dump water on each other using their buckets. Here she was washing Gabe and was a little too rough so she gave him a nice kiss to make him feel better.
You can also use a laundry basket to haul books around. It takes a little bit of teamwork when you get a lot of books in there!
And finally all of this fooling around just wore Sam out today. Douglas went upstairs to wake him. He carried him down and tried to get him to wake up. He finally sat him down on the couch for a minute. Poor Sam just sat there for a minute then lay back down and went right to sleep. We went to a community meal at our church tonight and I was trying to get all of the kids dressed to leave. I put Sam's shoes on and he STILL didn't wake up! It takes a lot of work to be this fun!
