So Doug's dad arrived yesterday from Minnesota. Of course the kids napped from 2 pm until almost 6 pm. When I'm by myself some days they will only nap for an hour.
Leona woke up first and she wasn't quite so sure about Grandpa for a while. But after a few sips of her slush she was busy passing out pretzels like a seasoned hot dog vendor at a baseball game. And using all of her girlie charms to win over the crowd.
When the boys woke up she came upstairs with Douglas and I to help bring them down. She was so cute and kept saying "Gee, Am, Gwampa" and would smile and point downstairs. She was really excited about Grandpa being there.
It's funny how little kids can be SOOOOO silly when other people are around. They definitely know that they are there to show off for everyone. We were cracking up at their crazy little antics many times.
One of their favorite things to do is make animal noises. Lately we have a favorite blue elephant that we've been making an elephant noise and raising our arm like an elephant trunk. It's been an okay thing...until now.
Sam has discovered that no one is quite as good at being an elephant as Grandpa is...but he's sure going to give it a try!
