We have a very simple little prayer we say before meals.
"Thank You Jesus for this food. Amen"
It's simple. It's direct. It's great for toddlers. We hold hands when we say it. The kiddos have add "YEA!!!!" afterwards and clap their hands.
The other day we were outside eating popsicles after having their lunch. They had all gathered together, joined hands and started saying their little prayer. It was so cute...even if the kids were the dirtiest kiddos on the planet. Their little faces may have been plastered with dirt, jelly sandwiches and popsicles but they sure do have clean, pure little hearts! And it just made mine melt!
