Leona has one book and ONLY one book that she will allow us to read her naptime/bedtime story from. She calls it "Mouse a cookie" and it's a really cute book called "If you give a Mouse a Cookie". We have tried for MONTHS to get her to choose another story but she will have absolutely nothing to do with any other story besides "Mouse a cookie".
Fortunately for us this is a big book with 4 different stories "If You Give a Pig a Pancake (Piggy Pancake)", "If You Give a Moose a Muffin (Moose Muffin)", "If You Take a Mouse to School (Mouse School) and of course Mouse a cookie. Also it's a very cute series about if you give a mouse a cookie, he'll want a glass of milk to go with it, then he'll want a straw, etc. etc. They are all adorable stories which is nice otherwise I'm pretty sure I'd be completely crazy by now.
She loves to read and will sit and read this book to herself whenever she is in her room. I think she's actually starting to get it pretty well memorized. She also loves to read along and repeat whatever I read in the story. She does this with singing too. It's so sweet. She has such a pretty sweet little voice and sounds like such a little girl.
Over the last few weeks poor Mouse a cookie has started losing the pages so her daddy, her hero, ordered her a new one. She likes this one just as much as the original. So if you give a girl a book, she'll want you to read it! Again and again and again!!! THANK GOODNESS!!!
