Risky Business

So it's okay if kids go to college in diapers, right? Sam and Gabe are actually pretty good on the potty. Almost every time they are on the potty they will go potty. If you ask them if they have to go potty they almost always so "No." Too busy playing. They do really well going before naptime, after they get up, before bed, etc. Not bad. But not great either.

Leona goes a "little bit" which isn't anything but she sits on the potty pretty well. I make her count to ten while she's sitting there and it's about the funniest thing you'll ever hear. "Oooooone, Twwwwwwo, Fooooooour, Eeeeeeeeight, Siiiiiiix, Niiiiiine, TEN!!!" The numbers are always in a new order and she has a long slow drawl almost when she is saying them.

We've been talking a lot about big kid underwear. So today Gabe asked for underwear. "No dipey" he told me. Okay! GREAT! So we got a pair on him. Well if you give a Gabe some underwear, then a Sam will want to wear some and if a Sam wants to wear some...then you can probably bet that a Leona will want to wear some. So everyone got a pair of big kid undies. Not the training pants...the real thing.

They looked so cute for about 15 minutes. Sam and Gabe both peeded through their undies. They were pretty upset but not bad. So we changed them, talked more about how to go on the potty and waited. Well about half an hour later...Gabe had pooped in his potty, Sam had peeded through his undies and Leona had a puddle on the floor as well. You couldn't walk anywhere without finding a puddle.

This potty training stuff is hard work...My floor has never been cleaner...and I've never done so much laundry!

Leona & Gabe cleaning up the floor. They like helping with the water dispenser on the fridge.
